What does “going green” mean to you? Reducing, reusing, and recycling goods? What about “green travel”? For most of us, this might seem like a hard(er) endeavor than your average day-to-day green efforts. Traveling green is much easier than you think, especially when you fly with Frontier!

At Frontier, we put the environment at the forefront of our decisions. Frontier was most recently ranked first among U.S. carriers in fuel efficiency by the International Council on Clean Transportation. Frontier operates the largest A320neo fleet with an average fleet age of four years. By having the youngest fleet in the industry, we burn less fuel and save our customers some serious cash! Can you believe that we are 43% more fuel efficient than other airlines!?

Contributing to our fuel efficiency and eco-friendly travel are our onboard efforts. We cut down on weight by making the move to ultra-lightweight seats that are made from recycled leather products, introducing a biodegradable onboard cup, redesigning our tray tables and by removing straws, in-flight wifi, and entertainment. We also greatly encourage passengers to travel light; by traveling light, you take weight off your wallet and the planet!

When you fly with Frontier, you are practicing the ultimate green travel efforts! To put things into perspective – flying Frontier is as green as taking 192,457 cars off of the road, as green as planting 1,000,000 acres of trees, as green as recycling 39,500,000 trash bags, as green as 359 billion straws disappearing, as green as 158,077 homes not using electricity for a year, as green as saving 15.2 billion plastic bottles, as green as saving 102 million gallons of fuel!*

Need additional ideas for green travel? We recommend choosing a green destination (eco-friendly hotel that prioritizes sustainability), be strategic with your travel methods – carry around a reusable water bottle, travel mug, a cloth tote for shopping purchases, a metal straw, utensils and possibly a container or two for leftovers.

Going green is a collaborative effort toward a sustainable future! Flying Frontier, you can rest assured that eco-friendly travel is a top priority for us! We are proud to be America’s Greenest Airline!
