HOW WE STACK AGAINST THE COMPETITION

WHAT MAKES FRONTIER THE GREENEST AIRLINE?

More Fuel Efficient Technology

Frontier operates the largest A320neo family fleet in the U.S. with an average age of four years. By having the youngest fleet in the industry, we burn less fuel - saving our customers cash AND reducing our carbon footprint.

In our ongoing efforts to reduce our carbon footprint we partnered with aircraft engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney in 2022 to build 134 of our A320neo family aircraft with the ultra-efficient GTF engine.

Lean & Green Seats

The greater the weight of an aircraft, the larger the amount of fuel an engine consumes. In 2021, Frontier introduced comfier, lightweight Recaro seats allowing for a 30% reduction in weight to create less of an environmental impact.

Flying Lighter

Overpacking is so last year. We offer a variety of travel options to encourage passengers to pack on the lighter side.

And if you have flown with us before, you may have noticed the absence of inflight services like Wi-Fi and entertainment. These are conscious steps we've taken towards lightening the load of our planes to allow for a happier planet.

Inflight Changes

At Frontier we are all about making small changes that have big impacts. Join us in wasting less. Instead of printing your boarding pass, download our mobile app to access it there.

Onboard we are transitioning from plastic to biodegradable cups. And, we have gone paperless in the cockpit; while having discontinued the onboard magazine.

HOW YOU CAN MAKE YOUR TRIP EVEN GREENER

PLAN GREEN

You can find a green hotel or accommodation in any destination.

GETTING AROUND

Utilize public transportation such as buses or trains, and bike or walk instead of renting a car.

SHOP & EAT LOCAL

Local businesses are more likely to source their goods locally, meaning less resources used in creation and transportation.

PACK LIGHT

More baggage means more weight and more weight means more fuel and a larger carbon footprint.

FILL-UP

Help reduce inflight waste and reduce the use of plastic by bringing a reliable water bottle to the airport and fill it up once you're past security.
