The lynx lives in Canada and the U.S.; however, with urban development these gorgeous medium-sized wildcats have become less common in the states. Odell the lynx was named after Eric Odell - a Species Conservation Program Manager at the Colorado Parks and Wildlife - who has greatly helped in the successful reintroduction of the species into their natural habitat. Fun facts: Stealth hunters the lynx can detect smaller prey under the cover of snow or foliage using their whiskers; and, at night they have superior night vision. Not to mention, their paws act as ‘snowshoes’ in winter conditions allowing them to capture rodents in the snow.
