Found on all continents except Antarctica and able to live in nearly any habitat, the falcon is one of the most widely dispersed birds of prey. Falcons range in size from a 7-51 inch wingspan, depending on the species. Falcons are characterized by their bullet-shaped bodies, long pointed wings, and short notched bill. Falcons are diurnal and rely on their excellent eyesight to help them spot prey - swooping down to quickly kill their prey using their sharp beak. One of the most majestic birds in flight, it’s not surprising to see why people love the falcon.
