If you adventure above 12,000 ft, you won’t be alone. Found in high altitudes throughout the country, the mountain goat is able to climb as much as 1,500 vertical feet in as little as 20 minutes. Mountain goats are a member of the antelope family and known for their thick white coat and round horns. Hikers know to watch out for this climbing enthusiast, as mountain goats have been known to be occasionally aggressive towards humans. So if you see one of these beasts, remember to admire it from afar.
