

The Ridgway's Hawk is one of the most critically endangered raptors in the world, with fewer than 500 individuals remaining. The only known breeding population is found primarily in Los Haitises National Park in northeastern Dominican Republic. Biologists have not recorded this species in Haiti for more than 20 years, and it is believed to be extinct there. The Ridgway’s Hawk is native to the area around Punta Cana, D.R.
