Infants on Lap
An infant is allowed to travel free of charge on the lap of an adult from age seven
days until his or her second birthday. Note, taxes may apply for international travel,
and they will be collected at check-in.

Unaccompanied Minors
Unaccompanied Minors are children from ages 5 to 14 who are traveling without a
companion of at least 15 years of age.

For all travelers, other than Costa Rican citizens, a ticket for onward or return travel is mandatory. This can be an airline, cruise ship, train ticket, etc. A visa will be required for stays over 90 days.
