General information on Fare Options

For general information on Fare Options, visit our Fare Options Overview and/or our Fare Options FAQs.

Frontier is working with our GDS partners to make sure Fare Options are displayed in all GDS systems; however, the displays of the fare structure may be limited. If you use Sabre, Apollo, Worldspan, or Amadeus, the fares are available in your system. All other GDS systems are able to display Economy fares only at this time.

For information on how to display Fare Options in the Sabre system, click here.

For information on how to display Fare Options in the Apollo system, click here.

For information on how to display Fare Options in the Worldspan system, click here.

For information on how to display Fare Options in the Amadeus system, click here.

SABRE

For Sabre users, Fare Options can be displayed using the following Sabre native commands to price the Frontier Fare Families:

  1. Economy Fare Family use WPNCB (calculates the lowest fare)
  2. Classic Plus Fare Family use WPNCB‡XP‡PNEG (XP calculates the lowest fare applicable without change fee restrictions)

APOLLO

For Apollo users, Fare Options can be displayed using the following Apollo native commands to price the Frontier Fare Families:

Fare group

Price as booked
Economy Fares
$BB
Classic Plus Fares
$BB*NEG/:P/PE00

To store the fares, replace the $BB with T:$B

Classic Plus fares may not be combined with other airlines. If the itinerary includes other airlines, price, store, and ticket the Classic Plus segments separately.

**NEG or :P is the suggested best practice to ensure that the private Classic Plus fares are returned since the public Economy fare is lower.

WORLDSPAN

For Worldspan users, Fare Options can be displayed using the following Worldspan native commands to price the Frontier Fare Families:

Fare group

Price itinerary as booked

Low Fare Finder Price
and Rebook Itinerary
Economy Fares
4PFSR
4PLFBFSR
Classic Plus Fares — appending a Classic Plus fare basis with or without PTC in Name Field
4P-PWEB#-D14PBXW1#FSR Note: D14PBXW1 is an example of a Classic Plus fare basis
N/A
Classic Plus Fares — Specifying no penalty without specifying fare basis (with PTC in Name Field)
4PFSR.SR#FNP
4PLFBFSR.SR#FNP

AMADEUS

For Amadeus users, Fare Options can be displayed using the following Amadeus native commands to price the Frontier Fare Families:

  1. Economy Fare Family use FXR (best buy — calculates the lowest fare)
  2. Classic Plus Fare Family use FXR/R,U,*RF (calculates the lowest fare applicable without change fee restrictions)

Your GUI can also be programmed to pull the fare automatically.

Residual Ticket Value / MCOs

Frontier is a paperless airline, and we no longer issue or exchange MCOs.  However, Frontier will accept MCOs issued by a travel agency for the residual value of a ticket provided the itinerary was cancelled prior to the departure of the flight and the ticket was not marked as a no-show.  Failure to show for any ticketed flight results in forfeit of the remaining value of the ticket.  Tickets cancelled prior to travel are valid for one year from the date of original ticket issuance. The value may be used as credit towards the purchase of a new ticket during the validity period, less applicable fees.

Unused tickets will be forfeited if not exchanged within one year from the date of issue.  Our Agency Support Desk will be happy to assist with setting up an exchange in order to keep the ticket active.  You may also call if you are experiencing difficulty exchanging the ticket.  They are available Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm (Mountain Time), at 1-800-243-6297. Please note that when the ticket is exchanged, the applicable change fee and fare difference will apply.  Please see our Fare Options for fee information.
