A stroller and car seat may be checked free of charge when traveling with a child. Bicycles, golf equipment, skis, & snowboards are subject to the checked baggage fees and overweight fees above (oversize fees are exempt). Baggage and Service Fees for Tickets with Travel on Frontier and Other Airlines
Frontier’s baggage fees and allowances may not apply if you are traveling on an itinerary involving travel on Frontier and another airline, known as an interline itinerary. Frontier will honor baggage allowances and collect baggage fees in accordance with the DOT regulations. On domestic interline itineraries, the allowances and fees of the first marketing carrier on the ticket will apply for all travel on the ticket, including any return trip. For example, if you fly roundtrip and your first flight on the outbound is operated by Frontier, Frontier’s baggage fees would apply both ways. If your first flight is on an airline other than Frontier, we encourage you to contact the appropriate airline on your ticket to determine baggage fees and allowances according to these rules. Please note that complimentary first and second bag allowances for Ascent and Summit level members of EarlyReturns only apply on flights operated by Frontier and on codeshare flights operated by Great Lakes Airlines.
On international itineraries, the fees of the most significant carrier will apply for all travel on the ticket, including any return trip. The most significant carrier is usually the first airline operating an international flight on the ticket. For more details on the baggage allowances and fees that will apply for your travel, we encourage you to contact the appropriate airline on your ticket according to these rules. Please note that complimentary first and second bag allowances for Ascent and Summit level members of EarlyReturns only apply on flights operated by Frontier and on codeshare flights operated by Great Lakes Airlines.
Frontier will not through-check bags to another airline’s flight(s) unless the Frontier Airlines flight and the other airline flight(s) are on the same ticket. Likewise, we will prohibit other airlines from through-checking bags to Frontier flights unless they are booked on the same ticket. This means that if you have a separate ticket for a connecting flight on another airline, Frontier will only check your bag on the Frontier flight and not on the other airline’s flight. In this case, you will need to claim your bag after your Frontier flight and proceed to check-in with the other airline.
