Award Travel and Fare Options

We hope you've heard about Frontier's Fare Options, where you can choose the fare that's right for you. When you redeem miles for award travel, we also have three redemption levels — Standard, CHOICE, and Last Seat Availability. 

Standard Award tickets receive the benefits of our Economy Fare Option and are subject to bag fees. Ascent members, Summit members, and Summit member traveling companions booked in the same reservation receive two free checked bags when traveling on Standard Award tickets, available through online check in or at an airport kiosk (where available).

EarlyReturns® CHOICE awards will receive the benefits of our Classic Fare Option on the day of travel.

There are two ways you can redeem your EarlyReturns® miles for award flights:

  • Redeem your miles online. (Taxes and fees must be paid at time of purchase.)
  • You can also call Frontier Reservations at 800-432-1FLY (1359) to make your reservation with a reservation agent.

Just 20,000 miles (plus from $5 in fees/taxes) earns you a domestic roundtrip award ticket within the United States!

Standby travel on eligible tickets must follow the original ticketed itinerary, meaning if you were booked on a nonstop flight you cannot add a connection to the itinerary or vice versa. Same day confirmed alternate flight changes allow you to change the itinerary from a nonstop to a connection itinerary or vice-versa.

Same day confirmed alternate flight changes and standby travel on eligible tickets apply to alternate flights between your ticketed origin and destination cities. However, the following groups of airports will be considered the same city for same day confirmed and standby purposes. This means that if you are booked to fly to/from an airport in each group, you may request a same day confirmed alternate flight change or standby travel (if eligible) to fly to/from another airport in the group if there is a seat available (for the applicable fee listed above).

Name Changes: If you want to change the name on an award ticket already booked, you may do so for $50.

Canceled itinerary: If you no longer want to fly on the original ticket booked, you may cancel your itinerary and redeposit the miles for a $50 redeposit fee. Note that standard award tickets must be canceled prior to departure of the flight to retain their value.

The name change and redeposit fees are non-refundable. They are waived for Summit members and traveling companions booked in the same reservation as the Summit member.
