How it Works

About Our Tier Levels

In addition to friendly service, our most frequent travelers receive additional benefits, privileges, and recognition. Frontier’s tier levels are easier to achieve than those of most other U.S. airlines, so you start receiving extra benefits sooner when you fly frequently with us.

2014 EarlyReturns® Tier Qualification Requirements

Ascent Level:
  • 15,000 Frontier flight miles flown in one calendar year (January through December)
  • 20 Frontier flight segments flown in one calendar year (January through December)

Summit Level:
  • 25,000 Frontier flight miles flown in one calendar year (January through December)
  • 30 Frontier flight segments flown in one calendar year (January through December)

Tier Status Terms and Conditions

Ascent and Summit status must be earned by using a single method of Flight Miles or Flight Segments; you cannot combine Flight Miles or Flight Segments to earn tier status. Flight Miles and Flight Segment calculation is based on activity in a calendar year schedule (January through December). Redemption flight miles or segments do not count towards tier status.

The amount of Flight Miles earned, Flight Segment credits earned, and the minimum mileage earned per flight depend upon the Fare Option you choose:

Summit and Ascent Members

Fare Option Actual Flight
Mileage Earned
Minimum Mileage
Earned per Flight
Segment Credits
Earned per Flight
Classic Plus 150% 750 miles 1
Classic 125% 625 miles 1
Economy 100% 500 miles 1
Basic 100% 500 miles 1

*Base members will receive 25% of mileage credit and 0.25 segments for flights.

Any tier level bonus miles earned are automatically credited to your account once travel is completed and do not count towards the Ascent Level or the Summit Level tier qualification. Once reached, Ascent or Summit level status remains activated through the following calendar year plus January of the next year.

Example: Qualify on October 15, 2013 and receive tier status effective through January 31, 2015

Only mileage or segments earned from qualifying flights as defined in the EarlyReturns® program rules will qualify for Ascent or Summit status. Travel on tickets that are excluded from earning miles in the Program will not count toward Ascent or Summit status.

EarlyReturns® members will not receive full tier-status benefits on codeshare flights operated by Great Lakes Airlines.

For additional EarlyReturns® program information go to Terms & Conditions.
