What is Frontier's relationship with Great Lakes Airlines and how does it affect me?
Frontier codeshares with Great Lakes Airlines to extend our reach to smaller communities around the western United States. A codeshare is an agreement made between Frontier Airlines and another air carrier whereby Frontier may market and sell tickets for flights on the other carrier that are identified by Frontier's "F9" designator code (e.g. F9 Flight 123). Through this codeshare, Frontier serves over 35 additional destinations with convenient connections to Frontier flights in Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Phoenix. The codeshare is only in effect if the Great Lakes flight is booked in conjunction with a connecting Frontier flight. Make your reservations for Great Lakes codeshare flights on
FlyFrontier.com. For flights exclusively on Great Lakes, bookings should be made directly with Great Lakes at
www.flygreatlakes.com. When traveling on Great Lakes flights ticketed as a Frontier codeshare,
EarlyReturns® members will earn valuable miles just like on any other Frontier flight.

Can I purchase a Classic or Classic Plus ticket for flights operated by Great Lakes Airlines?
Because the codeshare with Great Lakes must be booked with a connecting Frontier segment, Classic and Classic Plus tickets are available just as they are on any Frontier flight. Most of the benefits of
Classic and Classic Plus are available for tickets with Great Lakes segments, including lower change fees, additional frequent flyer mileage accrual, and 2 included checked bags. However, certain benefits of Frontier tickets may not be available on the segments operated by Great Lakes aircraft, including:
- Frontier codeshare passengers are not able to pre-assign seats for Great Lakes codeshare flights. Great Lakes will assign seats at the airport on the day of departure, where you will be able to request your seat preference.
- Classic Plus passengers will not receive a complimentary premium beverage on Great Lakes flights
- Classic Plus passengers will not receive Priority Services on Great Lakes flights, including Priority Check-In, Priority Security Access, or Priority Boarding
If you are starting travel on a Great Lakes codeshare flight and wish to make a Same-Day Confirmed Alternate Flight change, please call Frontier Reservations at 800-432-1FLY (1359), as Great Lakes ticket counters cannot process the flight change. Great Lakes ticket counters can accommodate requests for standby travel on alternate flights if you are traveling on an eligible Classic or Classic Plus ticket or if you are a Summit or Ascent member of
EarlyReturns®.
The fees for most Optional Services on Great Lakes codeshare flights are the same as for Frontier flights, but may vary slightly.
